If you are looking to liven up your summer, look no further. The WSU Outdoor Program presents " Big Waves Big Fun" join us on one of 3 Snake River raft trip weekends this summer, (You choose your trip, or heck join them all) , July 25-27, August 8-10, and September 5-7 (WSU Student Only). So grab your friend and lets go whitewater rafting!
Registration:
How to sign up: 1) Call the Outdoor Program (801) 626-6373, 2) Choose your trip, 3)Pay the trip cost, 4) Attend your trips pre-trip meetings, 5) Show up ready to have some fun.
Pre-trip meetings:
For July 25-27 trip participants must attend pre-trip meetings on July 21st at 5pm.
For August 8-10 trip participants must attend the pre-trip meeting on August 4th at 5pm.
For September 5-7 trip participants must attend the pre-trip meeting on September 2nd at 5pm.
All pre trip meetings will be held at the WSU Outdoor Program (Annex9)
Itinerary/ Details:
All trips will leave from the WSU Outdoor Program (Annex 9). At the designated pre trip meetings we will determine the appropriate leave time, equipment list, and menu. We will be traveling to our camp site near Jackson Hole WY, using the WSU Mini Bus, and WSU SUV pulling an enclosed trailer for equipment.We plan to arrive at our camp site by 5pm.
The next morning following breakfast, we will embark on our river adventure: This trip launches from West Table Boat Ramp in the Snake River Canyon and winds its way south toward Alpine, WY. You'll travel 8 river miles from start to finish. There are about 8 sets of rapids, ranging from class I and II to class III. Various river features will be encountered, such as Lunchcounter and Big Kahuna rapids, Million Dollar Fishing Hole, Gauging Straights and Bailing Straights. We will then load up our boats and head back to West table and do it again!!!!
After boating all day we will clean up in camp and head out on the town for dinner and our last night in Jackson.
Sunday morning we will sleep in, pack up and head home.
