Physics Seminar presented by Dr. John Sohl, Weber State University.

Abstract:
What is a sabbatical and what did I accomplish?  As is typical, what I accomplished is not what I had planned.  Sabbaticals are an awesome opportunity to expand one’s knowledge and skill set, to complete some pressing scholarship, and to expand a faculty member’s horizons.  One of the biggest challenges is “Mission Creep” and time.  The four to eight months of a sabbatical is never as much time in the “actual reference frame” as it is when you are planning for it in advance in the “future reference frame.”
