Michael Faraday, an English scientist who was widely recognized for his contributions to electrochemistry and electromagnetism, hosted Christmas Lectures at London’s Royal Institution from 1825-61. In the spirit of that longstanding tradition, WSU President Charles Wight puts on a top hat and tails and along with the Department of Chemistry channels the spirit of Christmas scientists past, present and future.
